Symbolism Text: | The green field and the boar’s head holding a shankbone of a deer in its mouth are based on those of the chief of the MacKinnon clan. The lightning flashes allude to Mr. McKinnon’s service in electronics communications. The boar of the Clan McKinnon symbolizes Mr. McKinnon’s research into the clan’s history and that he has been appointed as a representative in Canada of the clan chief. The shield symbolizes Mr. McKinnon’s interest in heraldry and the quill pen his work in writing about the history of the clan. |
