Blazon: Argent, issuant from a ducal coronet proper, a demi-lion rampant Gules, supporting a wooden flagstaff proper ensigned with a trefoil Or and flying therefrom a pennon of the third, in the hoist the flag of St. George proper.
Significance: The badge is that of HMS IRON DUKE. It is based on the crest of Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington, the "Iron Duke".
