Blazon: Barry wavy of eight, Argent and Azure, a dolphin hauriant embowed Or.
Significance: The badge is that of HMCS NEW WATERFORD. The town was probably named after Waterford in Munster, Ireland, from whence most of the early settlers emigrated. The sinister supporter in the Waterford town arms is an heraldic dolphin, which has been adopted as the main charge of the badge, depicted against an heraldic sea.
